Painting with Adjectives

My sister and I went Wal-Marting not too long ago.  We rarely get to go anywhere, musch less shopping, together these days since I live 2 hours away and we both have hit the time in life where our aches and pains are fought with everyday.  So...anyway......when we do get together to go shopping we giggle our way through the stores looking for sales or neat little trinkets that I can use in my room.

Well....we happened by the paint department.  Now....my sister doesn't get into the teacher stuff on Pinterest, but even SHE has seen all of the cute things done with paint samples.  So, I motioned for her to follow me and we progressed to have a 'made up' conversation about redecorating my room.  We grabbed oodles of these.  Now, my niece <who is 14> hasn't had the pleasure of remembering many of our shopping sprees, skedaddled like we were shop-lifting.  She really skedaddled when I teased her with one of the paint samples and told her that this one would be a great color scheme for the nursery. hehe  Horrible joke I know, but the look on her face was priceless.

Anyway, I had planned to make calendars with these but have since become departmentalized and teach all of the literacy.  So....these have become our 'Juice Adjectives Lists', using the names of the paint as descriptors.  Now, mind you, some of the names of the paint are just hillarious, so we got a good kick out of making up sentences with them and then deciding they just wouldn't do.  But, I wanted to share some of our favorites:

1.  The smoke rolled in like a foggy green morn.

2.  The grape was round and looked like a fantastic puple fanantic.

3.  The sky was the color of deep sea fisherman's blue.
