Well friends, it is official--I am braindead.  I spent 7 hours learning more about Common Core today with about 50 other second grade teachers and I AM TUCKERED OUT!  To the CORE!  HAHA!!  Sorry for the bad humor...but that is what happens when I am tired.  

I have to say that I feel better than usual because I drank my Zeal Vitamin Drink around 10 A.M. which is actually later than I usually drink it.  But, what they hay...that is what happens when kids can't find their glasses, or their medicine, or their shoes....mom didn't get to eat breakfast or have anything to drink at all until the 10 A.M. potty break this morning.  By 10:20 I was on top of things though and coring along with the best of them!

The Ten-Minute Inservice--Wouldn't That Be Awesome?

Is your administrator long winded?  Maybe you might want to slip this on his or her desk?  Or maybe you are the administrator's secret pal and you can 'anonymously' donate the book?  hehe  It's worth a try!!!

The book has 40 different 'lessons' that are broken up into different areas:  classroom management, teaching practices, school climate, learning from others, and "What makes a great teacher?".  This book is seriously a good read and helpful even if you aren't an administrator.  Sometimes it just makes sense to know what they are looking for....especially around evaluation times!  As an added bonus, pdf files can be downloaded for free!  Or....if you or your administrator is a techie, there are Power Point slides that can be used also!!!
