Today I used a WONDERFUL blog in my classroom called The Classroom DJ. It has links to great songs that can be used for transitions, clean-up, brain breaks, you name it! It even has a little 'Pete the Cat' there too! I used it several times today and look forward to being able to use it some more tomorrow! We cleaned to "Cotton Eyed Joe" and took a brain break with the animals from Madagascar, and even did a little Chicken Dance!!!!
We are also working hard on homophones and I used my pack that has 10 different centers in it! I have to admit, they are getting a pretty good grasp of things. I am thinking about redoing the pack with a brighter border. What do you think? Leave me your ideas in the comment area!
We are also working on desert habitats right now and I found THE BEST BOOK EVER!! It is Desert Creatures by National Geographic. When I ordered it from Amazon, I had no idea that it was a pop-up book. It is the best book on deserts I've ever seen with oodles of info and the art and illustrations are awesome!
